What you need to know about migraines and anger!
Dec 18, 2022Out of the blue the worst thing happened...
I had the PERFECT solo Sunday planned... early morning walk on the beach, espresso and almond croissant at my favorite bakery, their lovely baguette sandwich to go, a hike to my favorite secret river spot with a good book and my journal for plenty of sun, writing and swimming time. I had soooo been looking forward to a full day of me time.
But... late Saturday afternoon, the telltale needling pain of a migraine began behind my left eye. I'm no stranger in the land of debilitating head explosions and as soon as I felt this one, I began my protocols. You see, like many women, I've been getting migraines for as long as I've had my cycle... so more times than not, if I catch it early, I can avoid it getting worse. Over the years, I have gathered an amazing set of resources, tools and herbs.
But this time... nothing worked. It just kept escalating until I woke up Sunday morning in a full blown state.
If you've never had a migraine, hallelujah, imagine an angry moth with an ice pic attached to it's back stuck inside your brain, pounding nonstop like a metronome trying to make it to the light on the other side of your eyeball... and that's just one special variety. For those of you who've been there, I can feel you cringing, you know the pain for which there is almost no relief...
